All For Love // Crescent Beach Portrait Photographer

A couple years ago, our youth group went on a fall retreat to Camp Qwanoes on Vancouver Island. I was a small group leader at the time, and had been leading the same group of girls for a few years in a row. We were all very aware of a budding relationship between one of my small group girls and one of the guys, but Victoria and Zephan were oh-so-cute together. You couldn’t help but smile. I have known Victoria and Zephan both for 6+ years. It has been so neat to watch them grow up and I have had the privilege of getting to know Victoria even more over the past couple years as a dear friend. This girl is the sweetest.

Victoria+Zephan have been dating for a couple years now, so a week and a half ago we did a portrait shoot of them at Crescent Beach. Isn’t the height difference the cutest?? They are seriously absolutely adorable together. PS. LOOOVE this location. Crescent Beach reminds me of Seaside, Oregon with all the cute houses along the promenade. Simple. Relaxing. Perfect. My favorite. There is nothing like sand between your toes and the smell of the sweet ocean breeze… and my car was most definitely covered in sand after. I am such a fan. If anyone wants to do their wedding or engagement photos on a beach… beach anywhere… I am totally up for it. Just sayin. ;)

Oh, and sorry guys, but I had to mention this. ;) Zephan’s basketball team won provincials this past year (hence the basketball photos) and when they won, a photographer for the newspaper captured the most adorable photo of them you have ever seen. Seriously. Absolutely priceless. For you fellow One Tree Hill fans, total deja vu back to Lucas+Peyton at the State Championship. Seriously. Anyways, enjoy!

Whitney Lane - Oh they are sooooo cute!!!! Love that it was such a chill toes in the sand session.

FAQ :: 20 first dance song ideas

As you may know, my sister is getting married this September. One of the things on their ”to do” board was decide on a first dance song. First dance songs can be hard to choose. I got asked this question multiple times last year so I thought I would do a blog post about it. I love music. Love it. Now, these are not your classic first dance songs that you will find if you Google ”first dance songs”. Some are very romantic, some are more fun. But all of these are different, fairly modern songs that are guaranteed to wow your guests and set the mood for your perfect first dance as husband and wife.

All For Love // Langley Engagement Photographer

Last Sunday I met with Jodi+Trevor at Williams Park for their engagement portraits. It was crazy warm and sunny but we managed to finish just in time for Trevor to go home and watch the Canucks game. :)

I remember meeting with Jodi+Trevor last fall. We just talked and talked… and laughed and talked. It felt like we were friends meeting for coffee. They were such a sweet couple. We talked about their engagement session and joked about bringing Dallas Cowboy jerseys– Trevor’s favorite football team. It was so fun to be able to incorporate their jerseys into their engagement session… as well as Trevor’s favorite player.

Their wedding is fast approaching, so I am glad we were able to take their engagement photos before the big day. Jodi and Trevor, I had such a wonderful afternoon with you. I cannot wait to capture you two becoming husband and wife. See you on June 30!
